
Traffic offences committed abroad should follow their author home. European rules are, since 2011, facilitating the follow-up of certain offences without consideration of borders. Directive (EU) 30157413 of 11 March 2015 now obliges European States to exchange information on road-safety-related traffic offences. An IT tool named EUCARIS is the magic tool to do this. 3 million offences have been followed-up in 2015 on a cross-border basis.
