
According to CFL 2015 annual report, train punctuality has dropped in 2015 to 90,9 % (versus 92,6 % in 2014). What about compensation to passengers ?
In Luxembourg, for urban and regional services, EU regulation 1371/2007 is not applicable.
According to CFL general terms and conditions, any delay of more than 60 minutes gives however the passenger a right for compensation. The passenger may require the reimbursement of his(her) ticket or continue his(her) trip on a different itinerary. If he(she) has not chosen one of these options, he(she) is entitled to a compensation of 25 % of the transport ticket. If the delay is more than 2 hours, compensation is 50 % of the ticket.
